I'm not a baby. I'm a tumor.

So Hellboy II: The Golden Army was interesting....entertaining....but not as good as the other epic movies of the summer.
I was able to tell a lot of the movie before it happened. Like the brother and sister were physically linked, that Blue was gonna fall for the princess, and that there was gonna be twins :).
I'd like to think movies like IRONMAN, Hancock, and the Dark Knight blew it away. But it was...cute. The funny corny humor they always have, along with really good CG. I enjoyed see Hellboy at a young boy, big buck toothed little boy. Hah! It was an unfortunate battle between the people who Hellboy defends but hate him, compared to the inviting magical freaks of the world that allow Hellboy to fit like a glove.

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. We're tonight's entertainment.

So, The Dark Knight was absolutely amazing. I went to see it and there were just so many extreme scenes! I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
Though the movie was good, it could have ended like several times.
There are so many twists and turns, and so many deaths that I didn't expect! Like I'm honestly wondering what they are going to do with the next one.
I heard the movie made over 16 million dollars with the midnight showings alone.
I can't wait to see what it does for the weekend. All sorts of records will be broken with the Dark Knight.
I really really really REALLY liked it....but I'm gonna say that I liked Ironman more! Ohhhh don't yell at me! I just did.
Heath Ledger is/was an extraordinary actor. As he played the Joker he stole every scene he was in. Outstanding. There were several chuckles heard throughout the theatre when the Joker would come on, but I felt as though they didn't understand the role Heath Ledger was trying to take.
Jack Nicholson's Joker was just delusion and la-la and in his own little world crazy guy...I mean he danced put on jam music, and splatter painted art out of a museum. He was just kinda a weirdo.
Heath Ledger really took the path of a sadistic, twisted, psychopath. No wonder he had such trouble sleeping.
I think he should win an award for that performance, hands down.
Can't wait to have another chance to see it.
A few things I didn't like:
- People should've realized there were MASSIVE MASSIVE amounts of explosives in the hospital
- Batman's voice is so scratchy and low and nothing like Bruce's in the real life, it just makes me laugh
- What were they thinking by killing him? What do they plan on doing now? Jeeze.
- Like Indiana Jones is afraid of snakes....Bruce is rather afraid of dogs now? Weird.
And I LOVED when the Joker was wearing a nursing outfit and wig! Awesome.

Just because I like ballet doesn't mean I'm a poof, you know.

It was so uplifting! I honestly even teared up at a few parts (and I'm not a very sentimental person!) Wow, the story was all based an a 11 year old boy wanting to dance; more specifically ballet. I figured, ballet? Ick no way! But I gave the movie a chance, and boy am I glad I did!
Jamie Bell who played the role of young Billy Elliot was so extraordinary! What an amazing kid actor he was! AND what a dancer he is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW! Sooo good! I have nothing but good things to say about this movie.
PLUS, Julie Walters who is Molly Weasley from the Harry Potter movies is in it! SAWEEEEEET!

Kyle, all those times I called you a stupid Jew, I didn't mean it. You're not a Jew.

Alright sooooo, I was watching the "100 funniest movies" on the E! channel, and South Park:Bigger, Longer, & Uncut was very high up on the list.
Now, I remember watching it when it came out at my friends house. Though I didn't fully take in what the movie was about. I was mostly just giggling at the swearing.
Now that I'm older I took another crack at it. Turns out the swearing doesn't make my laugh nearly as much, but instead of the somewhat dumb obscenity, I was able to look at the movie for what it is: a satire.
In this way I appreciated the work of Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Using a cartoon television show to make fun of American society, while constantly pushing the boundaries on what is socially normal/acceptable. I also really liked the fact it was a musical. Sure, why not?
It was up for an Academy Nominated Award. Enough said.

Fast or slow, I like the direction you're going.

Soooooo....well since Brokeback Mountain came out...I felt the need to see it. However, I never did see it and though it came out in 2005, here I am watching it in 2008.
An alright movie, done with two straight actors I was surprised at how well they adjusted to their roles. Putting gay men back in the days of cowboys made the movie more powerful than if they would've put the setting in today's society. In all honesty, we are much more accepting then they were back in the days of wild wild west.
Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger have some intense/somewhat violent tendencies in the film. The rough aggressive side made it seem more realistic. Two cowboys would surely have grabbed and struggled and smacked around each other a bit. Talk about "likin' it rough" ;) rawr.
Anyways, Heath Ledger, the incredible actor who is no deceased did an awesome job turning into his character. The strong silent...gay cowboy type. His accent was good and his mannerisms with tight lips and squinted eyes. I just overall enjoyed him. Jake's character was a little more static...I felt like there could've been more to him.
The ending was sad, and the last scene was just a little weird....soooo...yeah.

Call me an asshole one more time.

Will Smith as Hancock...I thought it was a kick ass movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah it was a little confusing, and no you didn't get to figure out ALL the information...but it was good.
There's good comical essence throughout the entire movie, it was a LOT funnier then I thought it was going to be.
The end turns out to be very strange....but it was positive.
A lot of people have been bashing it, but I say just leave it alone. It was enjoyable, and just because they didn't tie up every loose end doesn't mean it's not a good film. Some of the BEST movies are that way.
Though Will Smith is an excellent actor and I love him to death, the one who really stole the show when he was on screen was Jason Bateman. His funny little one lines, and just the way he portrays his lines is genius! :) Awesome! I felt like Charlize Theron really didn't do as much as she could have. I disliked her scene

You can't live in fear
Ghost Rider, poor reviews, not the best revenue, and basically just not all that good of a movie. Dissapointing really, it had some awesome potential.
From the introduction, I really don't like the voice of the narrator. I've heard it before, and there's just something about it that turns me off. With a little research I found out it was Sam Elliott, who did a similar job narrating other movies. I just don't dig it, ya know?
Anyways, the movie was poorly executed. With all the money they used to make it, what a flop!
The redeeming part of this movie was the actress Eva Mendes, she's comedic and well portrayed in this film.

He is attempting to achieve the impossible. He is trying to sing in his own voice using someone else's vocal cords.

Art School Confidential....
weird movie.
SOOOO many weird star appearances. Many of the people were small actors who hadn't gotten their big breaks yet...or where just doing this film for giggles. It came out in 2006 so...it wasn't all that long ago.
- Sophia Myles- Underworld, Dracula, and T.V.'s "Moonlight"
- John Malkovich- Eragon, and Beowulf
- Jim Broadbent- Hot Fuzz, Indiana Jones, and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
- Matt Keeslar- The new T.V. series, "The Middleman"
- Joel Moore (love)- Grandma's Boy
- Nick Swardson (love)- Blades of Glory, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, Don't Mess with the Zohan, and Reno 911!
The movie was strange. All to do with the creative tendencies of these crazy art students. Also, there's a person strangling people on campus....no wonder the tuition was so low! Overall I thought the plot was interesting enough, I was able to guess the ending, but I feel as though the main actor Max Minghella as Jerome, just wasn't a strong enough actor. The ending was humours enough, and sad because it's true to real life.

No, I'm not okay alright? I'm losin' my mind a little bit. Gettin' chased by my car right now, gotta go!

Transformers! It's on the top of my list of favorites in my noggin. I just absolutely loved this movie.
Shia LaBeouf is an amazing actor, he's probably my favorite of my generation. Though I enjoy all the guys from Knocked Up and Superbad, Shia can do action AND comedy. He's the full package.
Plus....the one character that I seriously wanted to STRANGLE through that hole movie was Agent Simmons. What an annoying character. He was seriously the worst part of the movie for me. If a real government agent actually acted like that, I'd probably shot myself. Plus, punch him in the face.

Weird things on the plot that I didn't understand:
- Why did the All Spark ONLY produce bad robots....and then how did the Autobots come to be?
- Why did they think that Sam getting to the top of the building into a helicopter would REALLY protect the All Spark? When Megatron could turn into a jet?
- Why didn't Starscream (?) (in the first part of the movie) when he destroyed that army base, why didn't he use his full power when attacking in the streets in the end?
- Why couldn't the Autobots contact one another like Decepticons could (like when all the Decepticons contacted one another to meet up)
- Why couldn't any of the Autobots sense the evil little robot inside Mikaela's purse?

Speak No Evil?

So I just got finished watching See No Evil, Hear No Evil.
This was awesome, even though it came out the year I was BORN....I still enjoyed it.
Gene Wilder stole the show every time he was on camera. Richard Pryor also did a convincing job being a blind man. Being framed with a murder over an expensive gold coin while Wilder's deaf and Pryor is blind, hi-jinks ensue to make this wonderful comedy.
It's weird to see Kevin Spacey so young and such a weird bad guy.
It's cool though.
It was enjoyable.

Three measures of Gordon's; one of vodka; half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it over ice, and add a thin slice of lemon peel.

Last night I watched Casino Royale.
Blue eyed, blond haired James Bond?
Okay, I'll bite.
Okay, I'll bite.
Though this movie has been out for a while, it was enjoyable.
I feel as though the movie wasn't as smoothly transitioned as it could have been.
There were several scenes where the plot became smoggy and hard to understand.
Overall it was good, I enjoyed Daniel Craig. He did a good job showing the mental aspect of what a trained assassin would have to be like.
I thought Bond's "girlfriend" was a dumb hoe fo sho'.....I mean seriously? I don't care what her problem was....she simply needed to tell James Bond what the hell was going on. Then at the end when she locked herself in the sinking elevator to die.....what a complete idiot.
Ugh.
But hey, it was a decent action movie the guys of our era.
