Fast or slow, I like the direction you're going.

Soooooo....well since Brokeback Mountain came out...I felt the need to see it. However, I never did see it and though it came out in 2005, here I am watching it in 2008.

An alright movie, done with two straight actors I was surprised at how well they adjusted to their roles. Putting gay men back in the days of cowboys made the movie more powerful than if they would've put the setting in today's society. In all honesty, we are much more accepting then they were back in the days of wild wild west.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger have some intense/somewhat violent tendencies in the film. The rough aggressive side made it seem more realistic. Two cowboys would surely have grabbed and struggled and smacked around each other a bit. Talk about "likin' it rough" ;) rawr.

Anyways, Heath Ledger, the incredible actor who is no deceased did an awesome job turning into his character. The strong silent...gay cowboy type. His accent was good and his mannerisms with tight lips and squinted eyes. I just overall enjoyed him. Jake's character was a little more static...I felt like there could've been more to him.

The ending was sad, and the last scene was just a little weird....soooo...yeah.
